President and CEO

Due to the resignation of Crystal Hayling at the end of 2009, Martha Montag Brown & Associates is conducting a search for a new President and CEO of Blue Shield of California Foundation.

Key qualifications include: 1) ten to fifteen years of senior experience that demonstrates a sophisticated and deep knowledge of health, health care, health policy, delivery systems, and related issues. Expertise in domestic violence issues is desirable; 2) an understanding of the complex healthcare landscape in California including inter-relationships between health plans, providers of medical services, employers, brokers, foundations, community clinics, other healthcare organizations, and the public sector (knowledge and expertise about these issues in California is a plus); and 3) excellent leadership, management, and supervisory skills.
