Nikki Uyên Đinh

Program Associate, Blue Shield Against Violence

Nikki Uyên Đinh is a program associate for Blue Shield Against Violence supporting the Foundation's grantmaking and program work related to ending domestic violence in California.

Ms. Đinh joins the Foundation with diverse experience in anti-violence work. Prior to her role at the Foundation, Ms. Đinh was an attorney at API Legal Outreach, a nonprofit that provides low-income families with culturally sensitive and holistic services. There, she represented survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and elder abuse in court hearings and affirmative petitions under the Violence Against Women Act. Previously, Ms. Đinh served as a program monitor for domestic violence shelter programs and as a case manager for convicted abusers in the Batterers' Intervention Program.

Ms. Đinh received her degrees from the University of California, Irvine and Golden Gate University School of Law, where she graduated with a specialization in public interest law. She is a member of the California State Bar, and an alumnus of the Vietnamese Law Foundation Fellowship. Her parents are part of the courageous Vietnamese boat people who escaped their country in hopes of a better future. Their legacy inspired her to pursue public interest work and serve the community that has provided her family with a second chance.
