As a program from Blue Shield of California Foundation, Blue Shield Against Violence focuses our philanthropy on domestic violence prevention, education and intervention. We also operate innovative programs in workplace and healthcare settings.
Since 1996, our workplace program has delivered resources and strategies to help California employers make practical and effective responses to domestic violence.
By giving employers the tools and information they need to provide meaningful support for their employees, Blue Shield of California Foundation is making a real difference in combating domestic violence. Many California employers have participated in the Blue Shield Against Violence program that offers training to human resources representatives, managers and employees.
