If You Are Being Abused
If you are experiencing domestic violence:
- Talk with someone you trust: A friend, relative, coworker or someone at your place of worship.
- Remember that you are the expert about your own life. Don't let anyone talk you into doing something that you think may put you into danger.
- Contact your organization's human resources department, employee assistance program or other benefit provider.
- If abuse is affecting your work, you may want to speak with your supervisor. You may be able to make adjustments to your workspace or your job expectations, and protect yourself while at work.
