Daneen Cline joins Blue Shield of California Foundation as a recent graduate of Mills College, having earned her bachelor's degree with honors in Women’s Studies. In her senior year, Ms. Cline was the recipient of the Mary Atkins Merit Scholarship, selected by her professors in honor of her work as a student of non-traditional age. While at Mills College, Ms. Cline shared her enthusiasm and talent for advocacy as a teaching assistant in the Introduction to Women’s Studies class and focused her senior thesis on the issue of women’s access to health care.
In addition to her passion for women's issues, Ms. Cline brings 12 years of executive and administrative assisting experience to her position at the Foundation. While previously employed in the private sector, Ms. Cline supported several members of both financial analysis and planning teams and was responsible for the operations of two Northern California offices. Ms. Cline is excited to work within the Foundation’s Blue Shield Against Violence program, where she is able to bring together her education and previous work experience with her passion for making a difference in the lives of women.
