Employer Outreach Coordinator, Blue Shield Against Violence

Douglas Leach has extensive experience in the fields of training and development and organizational consulting in both managed care and the technology industry. Mr. Leach is responsible for the Blue Shield of California Foundation's Domestic Violence Employer Outreach program. Prior to coming to Blue Shield of California, Mr. Leach worked as Director of Training for United Behavioral Health where he was responsible for employee orientation and training, management and leadership development, and eLearning initiatives. Previously Mr. Leach spent many years working for technology and dot com companies building training programs, consulting with sales, engineering, and human resource departments, and running company wide communication media.
Mr. Leach has been involved with Domestic Violence programs as an educator bringing the Blue Shield Against Violence to United Behavioral Health, by creating a Domestic Violence website, and personally as a Founding Father with the Family Violence Prevention Fund.
Mr. Leach received his Masters Degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco and his BA from the University of Michigan. He has received certifications in the areas of project management, competency development, working styles, and graphic facilitation. Mr. Leach is a member of American Society of Training and Development and Organization Development Network.
