Ms. Tripp received her Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California Berkeley. Her thesis topic was “Serving Paradise, Women, Work and Tourism in Jamaica,” and she delivered the commencement address for her department, a reflection on the role historians play in informing the future through the experiences of the past.

For the past six years, Ms. Tripp has worked in a variety of nonprofit organizations and women-owned businesses, honing her administrative skills. She is also an avid artist and currently maintains a painting and sculpture studio in Oakland.
