Wendy  Todd Wendy Todd brings extensive public health experience from non-profit and research settings to her position as Program Officer. She supports the Foundation’s Health Care and Coverage Program and plays an integral role in responsive and proactive grantmaking efforts. Responsibilities include performing initial screening of potential grantees, conducting research and due diligence related to proposals and meeting with current and prospective grantees.

Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Todd was the Director of Prevention at the Youth Leadership Institute. She designed, managed and evaluated programs rooted in youth development and community organizing. Prior to that, Ms. Todd was the Planning and Development Associate at LifeLong Medical Care, a safety net provider in Alameda County. Ms. Todd’s broad background in clinical settings includes working at the UCSF/San Francisco General Hospital Opiate Treatment Outpatient Program, Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, Planned Parenthood of Hawai’i, a domestic violence agency, and providing care to mentally ill consumers living in supportive housing.

While earning her Master’s degree in Public Health at University of California, Los Angeles, Ms. Todd worked as a research associate for several professors in the Community Health Sciences Department. The focus of her research has been on women’s health, adolescent health, health disparities and physical activity. Three of the manuscripts Ms. Todd co-authored were recently published in public health journals. Ms. Todd received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Women’s Studies and Human Services from Clark University in Massachusetts.
