Futures Without Violence

To change policy and practice to ensure that a whole-person approach incorporates prevention of violence, identification of those experiencing violence and links to healing services to improve health equity and outcomes. The key goals are to: 1) Assist with the drafting of a CA plan to address this issue; 2) Build leadership and grassroots support for the CA plan via convenings; 3) Develop a public awareness campaign to raise the visibility of this issue across the state; and 4) Build off the policy opportunities that already exist to drive momentum to create a CA streamlined process for screening kids for trauma that allow services to be provided and a state funding mechanism to support these services.
