Empowerment and Engagement Among Low-Income Californians: Enhancing Patient-Centered Care

Patient empowerment and engagement are central to achieving more efficient care models and improved health outcomes. This survey tested some of the basic principles of patient-centered care from the perspective of low-income Californians, producing essential data on how to create a patient population that is actively involved in their own care.
